I really enjoyed The Beekeeper of Aleppo; it's one of the most memorable books I've read, so I've been eagerly awaiting this. Songbirds sounds just as thought-provoking and enlightening; a story-line that informs us about a way of life we may have heard about but in this format, really makes us think about the people behind the headlines. Another thing I love about the author's previous book and it looks like this one too, is the beautiful cover, making it perfect as a gift.
