I haven't read the author's previous book yet. I have seen it appearing in the bestsellers for a while, but it still has not drawn me enough. The cover of her new book is beautiful and there is something mystical about this story and the way it's written. It has almost a "fairy-talish" touch to it, except that it is in no way a fairy tale.
