I was drawn to this book by it’s beautiful and eye-catching cover. Upon reading the first look I was gripped. So was extremely happy when I was gifted a copy!
This a beautifully written story of Nisha, a Sri Lankan girl, who moves to Cyprus to work and support her family. We follow the story through several perspectives as we follow the journey that Nisha took and try to unravel what has happened to her. These narratives are expertly woven together, filling in all the tiny details. There a very powerful and poignant message of class and race crafted into the narrative making it a very thought provoking read.
A story of loss, finding new love and being able to learn to love as well as learning to see the bigger picture. This was a heart breaking read but one that will stay with me for a long time! Can’t wait to read more by this author- a true masterpiece!
