I was looking forward to reading this so much, after enjoying The Beekeeper of Aleppo. I love how Christy writes, she puts so much emotion into the story and tackles some important issues that occur in our world.
I liked how the book was written from two perspectives, Yiannis and Petra, with the story changing from both of them easily and not causing confusion, showing there relationship with the main charcter. I enjoyed the story line and knew how it would end but was still shocked when it did and how it did.
The ending was a bit abrupt but seemed to cover everything and I liked the way it kept going to the lake every couple of chapters. This made the reader sure that something would happen there, but obviously this was unknown till the end of the story but written well.
This was a beautiful story and anybody who enjoyed her other book would really enjoy this.
