I loved this book. It is beautifully written with evocative language and great pace. It exceeded my already high expectations of the book. The style of writing is gentle and you can definitely become immersed in the world of the characters. I didn't want this book to end, although the ending is good ;)
The plot moves seamlessly forward and the tension and intrigue builds gently. It is weird how so much happens and yet it feels like nothing is happening. I know that's a bit of strange statement to make. I love the way that pivotal facts are gently introduced into the book, often without you even realising, and certainly without you appreciating the impact of such statements.
I am, on the basis of this book, going to purchase the Beekeeper of Aleppo. I am really looking forward to reading this book as well. Definitely worth keeping an eye out for this author's work.
