Having read "The Beekeeper of Aleppo" and having enjoyed it so very much I was delighted to see that Christy Lefteri had brought out another book for my library.
This one with the title of "Songbirds" is a book that will not fail to please the reader.

A delight in itself with a picture of the small songbird in all its glorious colours. The island of Cyprus behind a hand that looks as though it wants to catch this delicate and beautiful creature, it signals to me a love for the bird.
The colour yellow and the embossed title is so very eye catching too... perfect in fact.
This cover draws your eye and says pick me up and look through my pages....if you do you will not be disappointed.
This story is written in a beautiful and sensitive way, almost like poetry.
It is one that the reader will be unable to put down.
It really is thought - provoking with love, loss and redemption running thoughout its pages...
