So excited by this book! Since the first book I have been wanting a squirrel cat!! Reichis has made me laugh out loud and shed real tears and so his antics continue! But the Spellbinder series isn’t just about Reichis, it is about his partner – Kellen’s adventurous journey to discover a cure for his shadowblack (a journey which Reichis also undertakes). And what an adventure it is – I just can’t wait to read this one!
I particularly love the way that so many genres are mishmashed together resulting in a fascinating fantasy world of magic played out in surreal wild west situations. There is plenty of action, comedy, mythology, magic, intrigue and humour to keep everyone interested. And there are so many twists and surprises that this series delivers that it is an absolute treat to read!
The book covers of the series are absolutely ingenious and refer back to the deck of cards used by Kellen throughout his adventures. All in all this is an out and out winner of a series!
