This book follows on from the rest of the series, with Kullen and Reichis going off their own, in search of answers and adventures. I loved how their relationship and companionship continued to grow. Especially when Kullen realises how much he'd gotten used to having Reichis around. This book takes you on a whole journey, the both adds to, and feels like a separate entity to the rest of the Spellslinger series. I loved seeing more of the world and finding our new things.
I really enjoyed meeting the monks, and finding out their secrets, and how they fit into the rest of the world.
Kullen truly grows into himself in this book, and I'm excited to see what the future will bring for him in future books.
