This book was a very enjoyable book to read.
It is the quirky story of Lois, a young woman working in technology who moved away from home to the big city for a job. Turns out that the world of tech isn’t everything it was cracked up to be.
When her favourite take away shuts down because the owners are about to be deported Lois adopts their sourdough starter and is left to keep it alive. This is an interesting experience for someone who has never cooked before, let alone baked or kept something alive.
The book then follows Lois’ journey through the world of baking and how this intermingles with her job in technology.
Overall this was a thoroughly enjoyable book which I would happily recommend this book to other readers.
