Really liked this story. Each time reading it I was left hankering after some delicious bready goodness! The story involves Lois climbing the corporate ladder and although landing a new position work wise she also had landed in her a lap the secret Clement Street Starter, which unbeknownst to her at the time, would lead her down a different road. The story moves quite quickly and I loved the emails from Beo, keeping the Mazg tradition alive. Lois joins the local Lois Club, which also gives her an outside support network. Her life starts out as very solitary, lonely, where even food has become alien to her. Consisting of nothing but Slurry, until the recipe for the amazing Sourdough falls into her hands. Making bread, involving robotics and micro organisms, not only changed her appetite but also changed her life. Quirky, fun and light hearted. A nice read.
