This book was really well written - that's my first point! After giving a 2 star review, I wanted to make it clear that it wasn't the author's writing that I didn't enjoy - it just wasn't necessarily my kind of story. The writing was knowledgeable, funny and clever. Just because I didn't enjoy it doesn't mean I didn't appreciate the writing!

Reading the blurb I thought I'd like to give the book a go because I think it's important to read all kinds of books. I'm not normally in to science or computers, but I do like baking so this was a compromise. The science wasn't too heavy, although there were a few things that I probably could have understood better (my boyfriend gets all the robot references!) but it didn't confuse the hell out of me like some books do. I like that it was written in a friendly for everyone sort of way. I'm glad I read it because there were bits I enjoyed and it was something new, it just wasn't for me.

It started off well, went a little slow in the middle and then I both liked and disliked the end. I liked Lois and her big decision, but I wasn't too sure on the big culture/dough monster all over the building thing. It was probably on my end, but I lost what was happening! I was quite pleased when I got to the end which is why I've only given it 2 stars. Like I said though, it was really well written just not for me. Thank you for the chance to read it!
