This was such an unusual little book that when I first finished reading it, I couldn't really decide what I made of it. However, on reflection, I did enjoy reading it - hence the three stars.
It tells the story of Lois who works for a high tech company programming robot arms, in order to reduce the amount of human labour required. When the two mysterious brothers who run her local takeaway move away, Lois is left with their sourdough starter, and gradually discovers the pleasure of baking -with her own two arms instead of robotic ones!
This is definitely an unusual premise for a book and I found that the story became a little confusing and convoluted in places. However I did enjoy reading it, and it was a witty, interesting little book. I'm not sure if recommend it to everyone, but if you're down for something quirky then this might be a good book for you.
