There's always been a lot of hype when it comes to Robin Sloan's books. When Mr. Penumbra's 24-Hour Bookstore came out, it seemed like everybody was talking about it. I read it and hated it because I thought it was cringey and very cliche'd. I was very hesitant to pick this novel up, but I'm really glad I did because I liked this book WAY more than Mr. Penumbra.

In this book, there isn't any kind of fake or forced romance between two characters. It's just an interesting and quirky story about a lonely software engineer who winds up making a connection with people through sourdough bread. Robin Sloan is very talented at writing technology into his books, and
this novel blended bread and robotics, which may sound weird, but was really successful. I think the ending was a little silly, but overall, I really enjoyed it and I'm going to have a bread craving for days.
