This was the first CJ Carver novel I've read and I enjoyed it for the most part It's a solid thriller and an entertaining book. However, I didn't think there was anything special about it.
I love books that have multi perspectives and this book did a great job with flipping between the points of view of three different characters. I also thought all the characters were extremely well developed. I just wasn't a huge fan of the plot. It felt extremely slow at times and completely silly at other times. My favourite character was definitely Dan, and I'm eager to read other books from his point of view.
I listened to the audiobook of this book and I wasn't a huge fan of the narrator. I didn't think they did a great job with the female voices and made them all sound hysterical.
I'll be continuing on with the series because there was more that I liked than didn't like.
