The first novel featuring Dan Forrester and Lucy Davies
Dan Forrester was an MI5 officer prior to losing his memory following the death of his young son. Lucy Davies is an maverick but intuitive police officer who has had to leave the job she loved at the Met and work in a provincial police station in Stockton. Grace Reavey is a GP whose mother used to work with Dan Forrester for MI5 and tries to connect with him shortly before her death. The three characters are linked through the disappearance and death of 2 young people who have been tortured and hidden in shipping containers sent to India.
Although I enjoyed reading the book, it is necessary for the reader to suspend their sense of credulity as the story becomes more fanciful and far fetched as it progresses.
