I was immediately interested in this story after just the first sentence. The main character is both seemingly relatable and normal but with this mysterious idea that she's also a murderer looming over you as you read on, you can't help but let your mind run wild.
The building of this quintessentially private boarding school adds to both the tension and the atmosphere. There's a certain level of unknown attached to the idea of a boarding school filled with terribly rich kids who have the world and all its glory - and gore - at their finger tips.
I really want to continue with this book because I can already feel the story going to noteworthy places.
