A little predictable but overall a good YA book

I enjoyed reading this book as the storyline was generally fun to read, as the author built an intriguing, entertaining setting in which the characters live in.

It is also obvious that thought went into the book as there are thought - provoking clues within that make sense further in.

The writing itself is light and simple which makes the book ideal for people who may want books that are easy to read and don't take too much thought.

My only criticism is the climax of the book is quite predictable and uninteresting, which is a shame as if it had been ended differently there may have been sand for a sequel. The ending itself is also a cliffhanger but unfortunately doesn't pull of the thriller/horror ending it is trying to achieve.

Despite this, the book is overall a good, easy read and perfect for people who would like an easy, fun novel with a hint of mystery and adventure to read.
