I can normally judge how much I love a book by how quickly I finish it. As I read this entire book in ONE DAY, I think it's safe to say how much I enjoyed it! As I got to know the characters of Greer, Nel and Shafeen, I found myself unable to put S.T.A.G.S. down. I was so desperate to learn about their fate in the hands of the Medievals, and I thoroughly enjoyed Greer's account of that fateful weekend at Longcross Hall. I almost started to feel like I was right there in the midsts of the blood sports myself!

M.A Bennett's writing style is both engaging and enjoyable, making the novel an easy read but still retaining an air of sophistication as the plot progressed and the nature of the Medieval gathering was revealed. Each paragraph gave dutiful detail to the blood sport taking place, which gave the plot a pattern without making it predictable. It was this aspect of the book which made me finish it so eagerly.

I'm so glad that I managed to finish this book without despising any of the seemingly 'evil' and unmoral characters! M.A Bennett explores their heritage, traditions and history in such a way that it became impossible to feel malice towards any of the Medievals, instead appreciating the power of cult-style historical traditions and their rejection in modern-day society.

Overall, a 5* read that I will eagerly recommend!
