"S.T.A.G.S." written by M.A.Bennett is an interesting read and was completely different to what I was expecting. It definitely fits in with the young adult thriller genre, with intrigue and discovery. I must say that I was never bored when reading this book - there were multiple plot twists to keep you going until the end. I also enjoyed the different characters and their development. The plot itself was a very unique story, the less you know about it going into the story the better reading experience you will get.
Effectively, one of our main characters Greer has achieved a scholarship at a very prestigious high school in the countryside. She is invited to join an elite team of other students in a group called the Medievals. Greer just wants to be accepted and make some friends, so does accept any challenges the group sends her way... with consequences.
There is a death in the story, perhaps a murder? If you like mystery thriller plots, then this book is highly recommended.
