This story has a thrilling plot : in an over-rich school with over-rich students, the 'popular' students - the 'Medievals' as they're called in the book - have a mysterious tradition : each year, they select three outcasts in the school - The 'Savages' - and invite them to a weekend in their estate, for 'huntin, shootin, and fishin'... What looks like a bloody weekend...

This book is ok, in the way that it's easy to read, suspensful and page-turning, the characters are endearing and well studied. However, - and that's the explaining why, to me, it's only 'ok' - I felt like it was sometimes a little bit too much, too cartoonish, too unreallistic... And from a character that is clearcly aiming for realism, as she always compare herself with movie characters and find that her life is a little bit less romantised, it was, in my opinion, precisely too romatised.

BUT, it is still a good read, and I've heard there'll be a sequel. I won't be reading this sequel but if the book looks good to you, and if you like the plot, you should definitely give it a try, as it's not at all a bad book, and you may find that it's exactly the right book for you !
