I'm only 3/4 of the way through the book but it's really starting to irritate me.
So far the story has been decent, with varying events and clues that leave you thinking 'how in the hell is this trap not obvious.' It's the sheer ignorance of the main protagonists that keeps me reading, wondering when they'll finally realise the game.
However, the main character, Greer, keeps saying things like 'this isn't how a feminist would think' and if it's once fine, but it seems to be every single bloody chapter and it's driving me nuts. It's kind of like the author is imposing their own views to you instead of trying to convey a story where it actually flows uninterrupted by stupid, menial things.
Now I have nothing against the character being a feminist, but once you've mentioned it in the first part of the book, where you introduce your character, you don't need to keep repeating it. It really takes away from the story.

Edit.
I've finally finished the book and I am severely disappointed. The author markets this as a thriller but it reads more as YA novel and a poor one at that.
The characters are one dimensional, the story predictable and stupid. Littered through the book are typical 'horror movie cliches,' such as not going to the police with the evidence and feeling sorry for the psychopathic killer because he was handsome and now dead.
I honestly regret reading this, I feel like my IQ has been lowered by the sheer stupidity of the characters.
