On writing this review, I have only read the first 11 pages but have already ordered this book and I am SO excited for it to arrive, I can already see myself devouring it.
The first sentence is one which grabs your attention straight away and makes you wonder what this character has done, making you want to read on.
This is a first person narrative, written from a (so far) anonymous characters point of view. You can automatically tell that the writing is going to be sarcastic. You also know that this is a story of someone who doesn't feel she belongs at the posh school she is attending and is a person who has done anything she can to make friends and to fit in. As someone from your average school, this is very relatable as I can imagine not fitting in at a private school either.
As soon as the other characters are introduced, you get a feeling for them too. These are known as the 'medievals' and without having to read very much about them, you can tell they are snobby and full of themselves and I already have a dislike towards them
