Fell flat

The premise intrigued me and I thought I'd really enjoy it, but it took about 80% of the book for the murder/mystery aspect to show up - and then by that time I really didn't care about any of the characters.

Honestly, I don't really have anything positive to say about this book. The word 'savage' was overused to the point where I wanted to throw my book across the room after a couple of chapters, and throughout the book the author lobs in a load of movie references which didn't particularly add anything to the story.

On the plus side, I read this in a couple of hours so it is a quick read, but it fell flat for me and didn't live up to the expectations. I'd recommend this if you go into it blind and have no expectations because I went in hoping for something and didn't get what I'd wanted.
