‘Nine students. Three blood sports. One deadly weekend.’

The premise of this book sounds incredible and I really assumed I would be giving this one a high rating, so an average three was a deep let down. I expected, and wanted, more from this book.

I know that more books are going to be coming out as part of this series, but I think they're going to be a pass from me, and M.A Bennett's writing isn't something I can see myself following along with. I think that the pacing of the book just felt wrong, part of it felt like I couldn't keep track of what was going on whilst the other half felt like I was left out of the loop and I was missing something. I'm assuming that was intentional but I just didn't like the way it made my brain feel.

I did adore Shafeen, they were such a great character. And they were one of the only ones I liked out of the whole book. Go Shafeen.
