This is a good book, incorporating all aspects of teen culture today and contrasting them with what has once been. I liked the general plot, but the pace was a bit slow and this particular writing style wasn’t to my taste. It was hard to keep reading because the author was a bit repetitive and didn’t move the story along at quite the pace she could have. But all in all, it’s worth a read. The book highlights things that have changed over the course of history and how that has impacted quality of life, especially amongst social classes and the hierarchy that comes with that. The ‘Medievals’ felt entitled to cull people they consider ‘Savage’ due to their position within said hierarchy, and a Purge-like scenario entails.
