I know people always say "don't judge a book by it's cover" but let's be honest, many of us do. What a gorgeous cover! I was drawn to this book before I even realised it was written by the same author as The Loney.

The blurb sounded interesting, and the sample was just enough to hook you. The story itself sounds very sad but intriguing, a married couple grieving for their child, a hint towards the occult and a secluded English town. It's very much up my street!

I'm looking forward to reading more of this story.
