I was quickly drawn in to this book due to the balance of descriptive language and plot. The characters of Richard and Juliette come alive through the environment they inhabit. Athough the occult has so far just been hinted at, there is already an eery undertone to the story, making me wonder as to the circumstances of their son's death. I look forward to reading more.
