The world in which this novel resides is an odd one indeed - attached enough to be recognised but detached enough to be creepy. And that's the word I would use - creepy. It deals with a backdrop of grief and develops from there into something otherworldly. I enjoyed the way the story unfolds, keeping you on your toes at all times.
