Set in winter time 1970's. Richard and Juliette have taken their son and moved back to where Richard grew up on the Yorkshire moors. They suffered a tragic incident no parent should ever go through; sudden and devastating death of their 5 year old Ewan. The grief and loneliness had put some distancing between the couple. The grieving mother unable to come to terms with her son's death, became reliant on a local spiritualist group. The leader of this group, Mrs Forde claims that she is able to open up a portal between the dead and the living which Juliette believed as she couldn't deal with her loss.
