‘Starve Acre’ is one of those books that I will remember for a while to come. From the first page I was gripped. The book felt spooky and claustrophobic, which helped to heighten the intensity of this novella. My favourite parts of the book are in the gaps left by the author, it puts me in the mindset of the main characters, where suddenly I’m questioning what’s going on, and my mind is racing with possibilities, just as they must have been. I personally think this was a brilliant book, that I thoroughly enjoyed. It feels different to most other books, and is a book I would recommend to other readers. I’ve got to say as well I really like the front cover of ‘Starve Acre’ it looks good and it stands out.
