Starve Acre tells a story of a family that loses their child. The story moves from now which is 6 months after the boy died and different times in the past when significant things happened. Juliette finds help in a group of local occultists trying to prove that Ewan still lives in the house. Whilst the husband , Richard goes on a search of a historic oak tree that used to stand in the field by his house . The story is very gripping, I never would have expected where it might go. I knew there is going to be some magic or paranormal elements but even now , many days after I finished reading it , it's still on my mind. This book is extremely well written with a clever use of words and flowing sentences. I found it hard to put down!
