From the first impression I read I was captivated by the story and wanted to read more to discover how Ewan had died, what was Richard digging up in the field, and if Juliette's meeting with the mediums was going to unearth some "ghosts".

As the story progressed we discovered that Ewan had been troubled in the year leading up to his death by a voice in his head that "made him" act out, resulting in some very weird happenings in both the present time and flashbacks to when Ewan was alive - I enjoyed the back and forth of the time. I did find Richard's lack of a reaction to quite an integral (and quite spooky) part of the story very weird though - readers will understand when they read it.

Overall I really enjoyed the book and found it a quick read (4-5hrs total); the ending left me a bit perplexed but I guess it adds to the suspense of the story.
