Looking at the cover this isn’t the type of book I would choose, however I was hooked from the beginning. The story of what happens to Ewan which doesn’t become clear until the end was a gripping story and different from what I was expecting it to be. We also have the unfolding of the story of the tree in the garden and the hunt for it and what it means. Then there is the story of Juliette and what did she she in her kitchen that had the impact on her.
I don’t want to spoil any of the book but the last page actually had me shouting at the book and I just wasn’t expecting it. I read this book over three nights as it was very easy to read, I do find a book without chapters hard to put down as you keep thinking just one more page.
