This is a lovely Book, I like the design of the book cover with the picture of the oak tree and the black and white, it goes well with this dark haunting story. The story is also really well written. The story is a strange and haunting ghost story which has a very upsetting element of the story with the loss of a 5 year old boy which I found so heart breaking. The story is mainly about the grief the family go through and how the parents of this little boy deal with their loss in different and upsetting ways. The father is obsessed with a family oak tree and the history of this tree and the mother becomes obsessed with the supernatural believing her son is contactable and still around somewhere. I found this story a page turner and I am excited to read more from this author.
