Starve Acre centers around a married couple Juliette and Richard who are dealing with the death of their son Ewan, the couple live in a house out in the moors previously owned by Richards parents. The story goes back to before their son Ewan died then jumps back to the present of them dealing with their grief after his death.
The creepy, eerie supernatural tones had me hooked from the first few pages but i feel like it wasn't explained or explored enough and i was left disappointed. I was expecting a creepy haunted house type story but it is nothing like that.
I did love the writing style and the story did flow from page to page.
I was slightly disappointed in the sudden and abrupt ending and im not sure i fully understand it.
I guess that's what the author intended but its still frustrating having a unanswered ending.
Overall i give this a 3/5. I still really enjoyed it and love the cover.
