I love creepy stuff and horror novels but this just didn't do it for me.
All the pagan and folklore themes and references wasn't my kind of thing in a novel.
I liked and understood the idea of the couple grieving so badly for the child that they were hoping to bring it back somehow so the ideas and plot was really good.
For me it just kind of went nowhere but then I think maybe it was just purely as it wasn't my kind of read overall.
This is my first time reading this author's work but not sure if I will be checking out more of it.
Think this definitely has appeal to a horror audience it is just down to personal taste overall.
The cover art is very dark and brooding and draws you in though and the blurb sounded a lot better than when I read the novel.
