I enjoyed this book and it only took me 2 days to read. Set on starve acre it follows the life of a couple who sadly lost their son, Ewan, a strange little boy who had been hearing voices making him do bad things, get up in the night and wander in the field where a old hanging tree use to be. Ewan's mum Juliette has taken the death quite badly and started to act very strange and his dad trying to keep things together while working in the field looking for remaining parts of the tree for his work as a professor. The story takes lots of twists and I think because it's not split into chapters you get caught up in the story and I found it difficult to put it down. written well and I would recommend this book
