I do get. Little frustrated when the prologue tells you where the situation currently is and then goes back in time to explain the now. I prefer to start at the beginning and move to the end. Well written book, a rare treat to have a female’s point of view and inner dialogue, a rarity for this time period in other historical fiction I have read.
