I loved being introduced to Major Karen Müller in Stasi Child so was thrilled to see that David Young is offering his enthusiastic readers the opportunity to get to know her better by reading Stasi Winter! My first impression is that the story will be a gripping and intriguing thriller which will keep me guessing, always a big draw for me. Added to that, I love the historic setting in the totalitarian state of East Germany and I'm sure that the frozen landscape will add an extra depth to the authenticity of the story-telling ... I'm reminded of how cold I felt when reading Helen Dunmore's "The Siege" so I'll be making sure that, if I'm lucky enough to win a copy of this book, I'll be curled up on the sofa, in front of a roaring the log fire when I'm reading it!
