Certainly suited the weather!
Stasi Winter is the fifth book of the Karin Müller series by David Young. I have not previously read any of the others in this series but I thought that the story sounded good and often long series can still be enjoyed as standalone books (eg the Harry Hole series)
David really managed to create a chilling and bleak landscape for this book and it’s certainly been a good one to enjoy during the recent windy and cold weather! I found it a little slow to get into but once I had organised the relationships and backstories of the main characters in my mind then it unfolded into a really exciting and gripping thriller. It’s nice to have a female lead in an often male dominated genre. I think I will go back and read the previous four books - I liked the writing style of Stasi Winter so imagine I will also like the previous books. A solid thriller with an interesting setting.
