Ever since I discovered Stasi Child back in April this year, I've been such an enthusiastic reviewer of the Karin Muller collection. Since then, I've done my best to catch up on the series in the run up to what could be the Stasi Game finale in December 2020.
Since Germany is in the freeze of the worst winter in history, Müller must dismantle a system of state secrets and make a choice: between reality and a lie, fairness and injustice, and, finally, life and death.
I found myself gliding with the storey and wasn't as captivated as the previous novels. After starring in Stasi Boy, I enjoyed the fact that Irma was back in the storey, but felt that the actual investigation did not pack the same punch as the previous storeys. The book seemed to rebound towards the end, however, and to sprint towards a strong end to set me up for the Stasi Game. Wow
