I have to admit I struggling initially but that is simply because I know nothing about the era the book is set in, so lots of names / locations I didn’t understand, but the way the author has written this book is fantastic. You don’t need to be an expert, you simply get pulled into the dialogue and before you know it you’re whisked off into the authors world.
The characters are very lifelike and relatable and the scene setting is second to known, you really do feel I like you’re ‘there’ with the characters.
The length of the book is just right, not overplayed or stuffed with endless chapters that don’t really go anywhere.
