This is the first book in the series that I have read, and I'm wondering if I needed to read the others first to enjoy this one more.
I didn't find the main character Karin Muller instantly likeable, and didn't reply feel that I got to know her as I read the book....maybe if know more if I'd read earlier books, but I found her a little cold.
I found it odd that the parts of the book written about Muller wherein third person, while a more minor character Irma was written in first person. It felt odd switching between the two styles and didn't help with the flow of the reading.
Overall, it was interesting to read a book set in this place and time, but I didn't love it. Maybe I'll try one of the earlier ones to see if this helps.
