I received this book as a freebie from this site. I was originally interested in the cover as well as the synopsis on the back.
Although this book forms part of a series which I had not read this did not spoil my enjoyment of the story, and can easily be read as a stand alone. There are some previous plots and characters mentioned that obviously appeared in the first novels but this did not interrupt the flow of the book.
I shall definitely be looking for and reading the rest of the series, I always love to discover a new author to follow. The characters were interesting and engaging, and the plot moved along at a fast pace. The novel was easy to read and I was able to finish it in two days.
Having also visited a lot of the places mentioned in the book this made it more interesting for me.
