I hadn’t read any of the other books in this series when I got a copy but decided I would give it a go anyways as I liked the sound of the story. Initially I found it a little difficult to keep up with who was who, particularly in the context of having missed the preceding books. However, once I got my head around this I found this a fairly engrossing read and I’m glad I picked it up! The story is well thought out and the locations are well described. You really get a sense of how cold and isolating it is. I am keen to go back and read the other books in this series. I liked the central characters and even the “baddies” were enjoyable to read about. Thanks for the opportunity to read and enjoy!
