Having read the first book in the series I was interested to eat Stasi Wolf. It started off by immersing you in the geography of East Germany and the police systems in place but then the basis of the story and the theme of stolen children is put into place.
However the base of the story does feel a bit left behind as the author focuses in my mind a little bit too much on the main character and her life and her past history e.g her old village, relationship with her parents, inability to have children (or maybe not) and although a book should have a main character I was expecting more of a story where Muller would solve the case and less of the story revolving around her which I felt that this book did a bit too much. I do enjoy learning about the East Grman system and how it differed to the West and muller is a strong character who I feel is strong enough to carry the book without each main storyline having to relate to her personally.
