Well, via the (all too long!) sneak preview I've now met MC Growls (et al) and, far from finding this introduction to the author's characters in his debut novel either hilarious or heart-warming, I just feel mightily relieved that I can opt out of this draw and not have to spend another moment in the company of these characters! I'm sure the cover will attract younger readers but I wouldn't buy the book for any one I know.
