Shaun is an extremely colourful character and his reputation on the block is bordering on him being an outcast due to quirky character. His best friend shanks falls into a dark place and has to go away to recover, which leaves Shaun even more isolated. But from the darkness comes the light of a new friendship. Siobhan is also isolated because she is caring for her disabled mother, but her and Shaun strike a balance and between them, they learn to navigate the difficulties that their lives are presenting them with. They teach each other confidence and understanding of the complexities that comes with the grit that poverty can bring. Despite all the hardships, there is so much laughter and love that shines through. Positive influences that guide these two youths down a path that shows integrity and courage will always endure the struggle and the happiness always follows the hope.
