I'm really drawn to the misty, foggy look of this book's cover. It sets up the story for being very atmospheric and mysterious. The story itself seems quite glamorous, with a romance between artist and life model. However I think this helps to emphasise the horror and destruction surrounding people's lives at the start of world war two. Hopefully the characters will have a satisfying closure to their stories.
