Whilst I am not normally a fan of historical fiction I did enjoy reading this extract. Having said that, I still would not want to read this entire book purely because historical fiction is not a genre for me, not because there is anything wrong with the extract. Looking at the front cover I probably would not pick this book up off the shelf either.
